Tourism related services are adequately available. Services range from travel permits provided by Ethiopian Missions abroad to excellent Ethiopian Airlines travel packages and domestic tourist related services such as hotels, health facilities, telephone, fax, Internet and posts.

Travel Permits- to enter Ethiopia as a tourist, visas are compulsory. Ethiopian missions abroad provide a prompt travel permit service. The missions now cover more than 100 countries through resident and non- resident embassies.

Travel Facilities- Ethiopian Airlines render a reputable service, with special packages for tourists travelling to Ethiopia. With about 80 destinations in different parts of the world, the Ethiopian Airlines also serves as a gate way to Africa. Domestic touring and transportation arrangements are facilitated by Ethiopian Tourism Bureaux, the Ethiopian Airlines and various tour operators.

Hotels and Communications- star designated hotels are found in Axum, Lalibela , Gondar and the Rift Valley areas. Telephone, fax, postal services are adequately accessible in the major tourist sites of Ethiopia while Internet services are also available in major cities.

Tourist Markets- there are modern tourist shopes in the major towns of the country which porvide cultural and traditional books, casettes, viedios tapes, CDs and many types of traditional and touristic items . Tourists can also exprience the local markets which are the source of the most fascinating traditional and cultural works .

To facilitate these services tourism Administration Bureaux are found in all Ethiopian regions.
